The 2nd Year girls basketball team got the season off to a flying start by convincingly winning their first three matches. They beat Ardee Community College by 27 points to 6; St. Peter's, Dunboyne by 31 points to 18 and Boyne School, Trim by 55 points to 10. Unfortunately, with closely fought matches they were beaten in their following three matches - to Athboy Community College 39 / 34; Gormanston College 16 / 12 and Mercy, Navan 26 / 10. The team was determined to redeem itself when it travelled to Dunshaughlin for its final match. However, although the girls played a fantastic game and really put Dunshaughlin Community College (unbeaten) under pressure, the day was not theirs and they lost by 36 points to 30.

Although the U16 girls team put up a valiant defence, they lost in a closely fought match to Gormanston College by 16 points to 14. However, they still made it to the semi-final of the North-East League but, unfortunately, were outclassed on the day by Beech Hill College, Monaghan by 28 points to 7.

The U16 boys basketball team started the season with great expectations as they demonstrated great skill and technique in training. However, it was not to be their season. They lost to Ballybay Community College 43 / 26, Castleblayney College 38 / 25 and St. Macartan's of Monaghan. Nevertheless, the team finished the season on a high after beating Largy College in a closely fought match by 32 points to 31.

The U19 girls team played just two games to reach the semi-final stage of the North-East League. St. Louis, Dundalk were too strong for them beating them by 44 points to 14. However, the girls learned from that game and came back to beat Gormanston College 29 points to 20. They secured a place in the semi-final but, unfortunately, were unsuccessful on the day.

Congratulations to the U19 boys team who fended off stiff competition to qualify for the semi-finals of the North- East Basketball League. In their last game of the round, Castleblayney College put the boys under immense pressure from the start. Admirably led by their captain, Conor Kerley, the U19 team demonstrated some great individual talent. Most notable was the strong rebounding from Jarlath Lyons and the skilful ball-handling from Conor O'Hagan. Through great skill and determination from the team as a whole, the boys emerged victorious to win by 24 points to 21. Top scorer of the game was David Whelan.
The U19 boys team have also outclassed Largy College 47 / 35 and Ballybay Community College, losing only by a basket to St. Macartan's 28/30.

The semi-finals were in December and, although the boys played a fantastic game, they went out of the league to St. Peter's, Dunboyne 71 / 36. The team was not too disheartened as they knew that they were beaten by a better team on the day.
